1.) The American Express® Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Credit Card
This is a decent entry-level card for beginners who are looking to accumulate miles.
Compared to the other AMEX KrisFlyer miles card such as the Ascend card (shown next), the earn rate is comparatively decent and is only 8% lower (1.1 vs 1.2) than the next level miles card.
The one thing that stands out is also the relatively lower eligibility requirement of only requiring S$30,000 per annum in income so this would put accessibility to most people who are already employed.
Personally, I have been using this card on my own to accumulate miles and AMEX runs occasional savings promotions where it gives you a good cashback on your utilities or dining requirement for instance.
I also like the fact that AMEX is generous with the waiving of the annual fee if you use the card regularly.

2.) The American Express® True Cashback Card
Like the name itself suggests, this is a card if you are looking into cashback rebates rather than miles earn.
The entry criteria is pretty straightforward and relatively easy to meet, and you get to earn a healthy 1.5% cashback on most of your local day to day spend and up to 2.5% for any foreign currency spend.
The annual fee is also waived for the first year, so there’s absolutely no downside costs in giving it a try if you want a cashback play.

This American Express CapitaCard is suitable if you are into shopping particularly in your regular CapitaLand Malls near your area.
The entry is relatively straightforward and you get to earn higher rebates in the form of STAR$ which you can convert your dollar spend into points when you use them at the participating malls.

This is one of my most commonly used cards for cashback especially for dining and groceries
It is so easy and convenient to use without the need to fuss over many tiered cashback pricing.

+ Earn 3% cash rebates for purchases made at Watsons in-store and online

The minimum spending per month is also easy for younger graduates at about $600 / month which is achievable for many.

How to Redeem Your Rewards After You Sign-Up
Unfortunately, there is still some minor administrative last bit that you have to do to redeem your rewards so do follow the instructions below.
To redeem your rewards:
- Once you apply to the desired credit card of your choice, you will receive an application form sent to your email (do remember to check your junk)
- Complete the application form and note the application reference number
- Once the application is approved, check your email for the reward redemption instructions from SingSaver
- Sign up for an Account on SingSaver website to obtain the redemption form
- Fill up the form with your application reference number and send it back to them at [email protected]
- Wait for your gifts/rewards
