We are almost towards the final few months into the new year and I am thrilled to see my early Christmas present in the form of passive income dividends.
It’s great to see when your dividends income are growing and which will get closer day by day to covering your expenses.
Although not as impressive as the ones I previously received in the traditional month of May and Aug, I’ll still take this with a great leap of pride. A pride that shows constant improvement year after year and their organic growth which will increase over the long haul of my investing journey.
Counter | Dividend (S$) | Payable Date |
---|---|---|
SPH | 1,050.00 | 20 Dec 13 |
FraserCenterpoint Trust (FCT) | 894.00 | 29 Nov 13 |
FraserCommercial Trust (FCOT) | 290.00 | 29 Nov 13 |
First Reit | 255.00 | 29 Nov 13 |
Plife Reit | 80.00 | 10 Dec 13 |
Boustead | 140.00 | 12 Dec 13 |
Total | 2,709.00 |
I’m still awaiting for AHT and the early distribution from Ascott. So the total figure would probably be closer to S$3K. Still somewhat a far cry from the goal but it’s getting there… a day by a day.
Another day, another dollar earned ๐
Cheers!
Hi SMOL
Sedikit2 lama-lama jadi bukit ๐
Fantastic amount of dividends! Keep up the dividend spirit!
Hi Anonymous
Thank you for the encouragement ๐
Hi B,
Pardon me (especially if I failed to go through your archives thoroughly), but what's your goal and how far away are you?
Hi HWW
I'm keeping up with the goals I've set 3 years back. Not a stone and rock goal but to be close to it is a big achievement.

Hi B,
Didn't scrutinize that post intently the first time round. Wish you luck in attaining almost 8k of monthly passive income in 7 years time!
Hi HWW
Its just a rough goal estimates that I've set out for myself. Whether I can meet it or not is another story. But so far 2 years down the road its been pretty good so far.
Hi B,
Of course it's pretty good. You're actually exceeding those "not easy" targets!
Growing Money Tree. Good!
Hi Uncle CW
Thanks for the encouragement.
Plenty to learn from you.
Is there an early distribution from Ascott, in Nov or Dec months?
Hi MH
Due to rights issue from Ascott, there will be an early distribution to the existing shareholders before the dilution sometime in Dec.
read through its various announcements made again and found the following :- [Ascott REITโs current policy is to distribute its distributable income on a semi-annual basis to Unitholders. The Rights Units will, upon allotment and issue, rank pari passu in all respects with the existing Units in issue as at the date of issue of the Rights Units, ""including the right to any distributions which may accrue for the period from 1 July 2013 to 31 December 2013"" as well as all distributions thereafter.] l think unless it is a private placement then distribution timing as per normal timing. Hope that l am wrong.
Hi MH
Placement and rights issue have a similar dilution outcome which is in this case an early distribution to shareholders before the dilution takes place. From a rationale point of view it does make sense to me ๐
No doubt about it that both private placement and rights issue will have same dilution effect. I just could not locate its announcement on timing of early distribution hence l have concluded next distribution will be normal timing in end Janโ14 so, letโs see.
The stock has not gone xr which is why the announcement is not yet made.
Anyway any big impact for you whether its dec or jan distribution?
Companies paying dividends in May or Aug months doing so either semi-annually or annually e.q. Vicom, Neratel, Ascott, 2nd Chance, YZJ, SembCorp, CWT, QAF so the dividend amount in those months are much higher. Whereas the companies paying dividends in Nov and Dec are much lesser as they are doing so on quarterly basis. In short, the dividend amount you will be receiving in Nov and Dec months are so much more than May or Aug months so Congrats!
