For the Feb month, I have added Sembcorp Industries at the price of $5.32 as an addition into my portfolio. The price looks somewhat decent to me and their fundamental looks acceptable at the point of purchase. I remembered having bought them sometime 1-2 years ago at a price of $5.44. At that time, Earnings per share (EPS) came up to about 45 cents/share. For this year, the 9 months results have yielded 33.4 cents/share. I suspect the full year results are going to be about the same with a dividends probably in the range of 15 cents/share, which is expected to be paid sometime in April/May. Great.
Feb month is also a fantastic month in terms of the dividends I received. Contributions coming in from a couple of Reits owned are especially handy in terms of my own personal cashflow. The more income coming in means the higher percentage of earnings retained and therefore the more money I can put to use to earn higher returns. The total dividends received in Feb amounted to $1,951.10. That’s enough to cover the whole expenses for the month itself. Lovely.

As we move on towards March and beyond the earnings season, the noise will once again dominate the market and give that extra volatility to the stock price. For investors holding it mid to long term, this should provide opportunity to pounce on any weaknesses in the price itself and buy it at your own comfortable price range.
Nice update~~ will come back and check~~
Thanks Meow Meow 🙂
Great dividend portfolio you got there.
Just a question, why did you select FraserCommercial Trust instead of CCT and Keppel Reits ?
Hi Betta man
Thanks for your compliment.
I am quite bullish on the office sector in the mid term. If I have to be honest, CCT would probably have the most potential growth since its property is mostly A grade while FCOT is mostly B grade. But I like both of them, just the latter have higher yield.
Hi B,
Neratel has delivered a solid DPU of 6 cents in the last FY. How repeatable do you think this DPU will be ? (Vested)
Hi Betta man
It is unlikely that Neratel will distribute a DPU of 6 cents. That year was a special one time off as they managed to divest and recognized a one time gain.
Nera has announced a 4 cents dividends for its latest FY. Thought that was pretty decent if you are vested at around 40 cents which I did. They are still struggling for growth right now so unlikely any time we will see an increase in DPU in the near term.
Hi B,
I read in Straits Times this week that F & N is likely to give out a special cash dividend of 42 cents to their shareholders in April (on top of the 12 cents already given). That's 12% returns. Any thoughts on F & N?
Renewed investor
Hi renewed investor
I wasnt really following the news on f&n but since they have listed separately their property business I am more inclined towards it than the f&b business.
Hi B,
have you sold off all your positions in Vard ?
Hi betta man
Yes I hv sold all of them at a loss sometime 6 months ago I believe. Their recent results show some promise but I think it will tke a while before they can be back up.
After Vard announced no dividends again for FY2013, i was expecting a sell-off today. Surprisingly that didnt happen and kept at 0.9… interesting. I kept mine holding btw
aceirus
Hi aceirus
I think their recent results were decent and above expected which is why the price went up around 90 cents. But I feel its still a long way back to the old level so im not keeping it. Are u planning to hold this for long term?
Hi B,
My view now on the OSV sector is bullish, so yes i intend to hold for long term. Especially since even after the disappointing announcement of no dividend, there wasnt a big sell off means investors are bullish. What do you think?
